QUESTIONS
ANSWERED
Everything readers ask us most often — about our funding, our scoring, licence checks and where to get free help. If yours is not here, write to the editors.
01 Who is PRESTIGEMARK and who writes the reviews?
PRESTIGEMARK is an independent UK editorial team founded in 2026. Every review is written by a named editor who has opened a real account with the operator, funded it with the team’s own money, tested verification and withdrawals, and recorded the results. We are not owned by, and do not operate, any casino brand.
02 Is PRESTIGEMARK free to use?
Yes. Readers never pay us anything and we never ask for payment details. Our costs are covered by affiliate commission from some of the operators we review — explained in full on our Disclosure page.
03 Does affiliate commission change your scores?
No. Scoring is done against a fixed six-part rubric before any commercial conversation happens, and the same rubric is applied to every brand. A commercial arrangement can affect whether a brand appears on the site at all; it cannot change the number an editor gives it, and we publish the weaknesses either way.
04 How do you check that an operator is licensed in the UK?
We look the operator up on the UK Gambling Commission public register and link straight to the register entry from the review, so you can confirm the licence status yourself in one click. If a brand cannot be verified on the register, it does not get reviewed here.
05 Who is allowed to use the operators you review?
Only adults aged 18 or over who are physically located in the United Kingdom and are not registered with the GAMSTOP self-exclusion scheme. Operators are legally required to verify age and identity before you can deposit or withdraw.
06 How is your score calculated?
Six weighted categories: licensing and safety, withdrawal speed, lobby breadth, mobile experience, support quality and terms fairness. Each is scored out of ten from evidence recorded during testing, and the headline figure is the weighted average, rounded to one decimal place.
07 How often are the reviews updated?
Every published review is re-tested at least every 90 days, and immediately if an operator’s licence status, payout window or terms change. The date of the last review appears at the top of each page.
08 Can you help me with a dispute against an operator?
We cannot act on your behalf or overturn an operator’s decision. We can point you to the right route: first the operator’s own complaints procedure, then its approved Alternative Dispute Resolution provider, and finally the Gambling Commission for regulatory concerns. Email us and we will tell you which applies.
09 How do I stop gambling or take a break?
Register with GAMSTOP to self-exclude from every UK-licensed operator at once, set deposit and loss limits inside your account, and use a bank gambling block. Free, confidential support is available from BeGambleAware, GamCare and Gamblers Anonymous — all linked in our footer.
10 Do you take payments to remove negative comments?
No, and we never will. If we could be paid to delete a criticism, nothing else on this website would be worth reading.
